May Programs at library and Inspire Learning Centre

- Rebecca Boulter

Amateur genealogists are invited to join the new Library Genealogy Club on Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m. During our meetings we share tips, ideas, and resources and occasionally have guest speakers. The PEI Public Library System has recently acquired Ancestry Library Edition, the world’s largest online family history resource. Ancestry can be accessed free of charge on library computers during open hours. All you need is your library card.

Trivia Night at the Library is back Monday May 28 at 6:30 p.m. Get on your thinking cap and join us for a fun, free evening of brain-busting trivia. Start a team with your friends or come meet new people! Health PEI will host a free six-week course on living with chronic disease, starting May 9 and running on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Living a Healthy Life” is a chronic disease self-management program for people with any type of chronic disease, their caregivers and loved ones, and anyone ready to make lifestyle changes to improve their health. The program is free. For more information or to register for the program, call 1-888-854-7244 (toll-free).

The library will be closed on Monday, May 21 for Victoria Day.
