Student competing in national bowling event
UPCOMING DATES
There will be no classes for Westisle students on May 21 due to Victoria Day.
The last day of classes for students will be June 7, with exams from June 8 to 14.
Westisle graduation is June 21.
GENERAL NEWS
The dental clinic is set up again in room 129. They will not be working in our school for long and are serving on a first-comefirst-serve basis, so students are encouraged to see them sooner rather than later. Grade 12 students are encouraged to take advantage of this service before they are no longer covered by it.
If your child is awarded a scholarship from a university, they must bring proof of the offer to school counsellors, otherwise it will not be announced at graduation.
Congrats to Chandler Gard, who has been chosen by his peers to represent them as valedictorian at the 2018 graduation ceremony.
Exams are approaching quickly, which means it is more important than ever for students to maintain their attendance. If your child is missing time for whatever reason, ensure that they inform their teachers beforehand as it is the students responsibility to catch up on missed lessons and assignments.
Westisle Buskers will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning in the gym from 8:30 until 8:53. There are plenty of activities to try, such as rip-stiking, unicycling, juggling, extreme pogo, diablo, and balancing skills.
