The fourth and final suspect wanted in relation to Sunday’s robbery at a Water Street hotel has been arrested. Forty-year-old Scott Bruce Dalziel turned himself into Summerside Police Thursday around 2:30 p.m. On Tuesday, police obtained a warrant of arrest for Dalziel. He has been charged with one count of robbery. Also arrested in relation to the robbery, which occurred at the Quality Inn in Summerside are Aaron Christopher Prichard, 34, and 26-year-old Congjie Tan. Tan, charged with robbery, and Prichard, charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, were both remanded into police custody following their court appearances.

The robbery took place around 12:30 a.m. Police received a call from a woman saying four men forced their way into her room, robbed her and her boyfriend and left. The woman says she was also stabbed. The victims were able to identify three of the suspects involved. Then around 4 a.m. police located two of the suspects at a Duke Street residence they were observing. Around 5:10 a.m. two people exited the building. One was taken into custody “without incidence.” The second, 32-year-old Jeremy Stephens, is said to have fled back inside the residence and resisted “with violence.” During the encounter, two officers discharged their weapons. Stephens died later that day as a result of his injuries. Members of Stephens’s family say he was shot six times. But police are unable to comment on the incident while it is under investigation by Nova Scotia’s Serious Incident Response Team. Dalziel will remain in police custody at least until his court hearing on Friday.
