At the Wedgewood Manor Summerside, Elva Louise Elliott, entered Heavens Gates serenely June 3, 2018, in her 99th year. She was born August 10, 1918 in Norboro, eldest daughter of Alonzo and Ena (Douglas) Webster. Elva enjoyed life, and will be remembered as a caring person with energy to spare. She was “hostess extraordinaire”, always looking for a new recipe to share with family and friends. Her fingers never stopped, as her love of hobbies were quite varied, from oil painting, upholstering, sewing, quilting, crocheting, paper tole, paper quelling, and cake decorating. Many gifts were for those special people in her life. She loved to see the joy in their eyes as they opened a handmade gift just for them. Bridge as well became her passion, she played several times a week with friends that she enjoyed sharing her time with. She will be fondly remembered by her friendly smile to everyone she encountered. Surviving children, Myrna Elliott, (Ed Skidmore), Truro, N.S., Dale Elliott, Ottawa, Ontario, and Dean Elliott, Charlottetown, PEI. Also, were many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; along with sisters, Jean Small, Ena Birch (David Sinclair), sister-in-law Mary Webster, and brothers, Ian Webster and Lonnie (Sally Ann) Webster. Gone before her is the love of her life, Thomas A. Elliott, as well as sister, Marjorie, and husband (Bruce Howard), brother, Douglas Webster, sister-in-law Edith Webster, and brother-in-law, Ennis Small. By her request, a private family celebration of Elva’s life will occur at a later date. If so desired contributions may be made to the Fire Fund for her grandson Warren Stewart, through the Davison Funeral Home Kensington.
