The Bedeque Area Historical Museum is holding a Strawberry and Ice-cream Social on Sunday, July 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Central Bedeque Park, opposite the museum. Strawberries, shortcake and ice-cream will be served. If the weather is poor, the event will be held in the Community Room of the William Callbeck Centre. Though ‘store-bought’ icecream will be served, there will also be a chance to help make traditional home-made icecream made from cream, by hand-cranking an ice-cream maker. Entertainment will be provided and there will be raffle and draws for prizes. All proceeds are in support of the museum’s work. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children aged 12 and under and includes free admission to the museum.
