Russell guilty of breaching probation

SUMMERSIDE — Melanie Ann Russell, 34, of no fixed address, has pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching her probation. Russell had been ordered to stay away from Source For Sports, WalMart and Giant Tiger, all on Granville Street in Summerside. She breached her probation by going to one or more of the stores on Aug. 13 and 30 and Sept. 8. Russell was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail, followed by 18 months of probation and must pay $300 in victim surcharges.
