WESTISLE STUDENT REPORTER Important Dates Sept. 28 – Lifetouch Photos for all students General Information Student Council planned a successful activity week that was a great way to kick off the school year. Students dressed up for theme days and activities were held place at lunch time as well as a dance on Thursday evening. Westisle extends a thank you to all parents and guardians who came out to “Meet the Teacher.” If any students missed their grad photos from Sept. 13 to 19 they will have to get them taken at Heckbert’s studios in Summerside. Westisle, Callaghan, and Hernewood are now offering a pilot late bus program on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Two buses will leave Westisle at 5:10 p.m. with one traveling to Hernewood and one to Callaghan and continue from there to each elementary school for alternate stops. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this service, so it can be used in upcoming years. The breakfast program is preparing to run again, and we are looking for morning volunteers. Anyone who is available and looking to help can call 902-853-8626 for more information or to sign up. Our library is open for students to use from 8:30 to 8:55 a.m., during lunch and again after school from 2:55 to 4 p.m. If your child needs to use a computer, do research or homework during these times they are more than welcome to use the library. A reminder that we are a peanut free and scent free school.

She also has a remind group as well as a google classroom for Grade 12s to join so they always have access to information with regards to scholarships, bursaries, and application deadlines. See guidance for more details.
