Theft, impairment and more among incident roster

Editor’s Note: A total of 116 occurrence­s were investigat­ed by Prince District RCMP between Oct. 8 to 14. The following is a list of some of the noteworthy incidents and investigat­ions:

Impaired driver arrested

On Oct. 8, around 5 p.m., West Prince RCMP checked on a man sitting in his parked vehicle on Main Street in O’Leary.

The 63-year-old man was arrested for impaired care and control and provided breath samples above the legal limit.

A 90-day driving suspension was given and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Accident in Rosebank

On Oct. 9, around 8 a.m., West Prince RCMP attended the scene of a 2-vehicle accident on Route 2 in Rosebank.

Both drivers, a 34-year-old woman from Nail Pond and an 18-year-old woman from Alberton were not injured.

Snow blower stolen

On Oct. 9, around 5 p.m., West Prince RCMP received a call about a theft of a snow blower from a property in Alberton.

RCMP said the investigat­ion is ongoing.

Stolen 2003 Suzuki GSXR

On Oct.11, around 12:30 p.m., East Prince RCMP received a call reporting a black 2003 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle was stolen from a parking lot in Central Bedeque sometime in the late evening or overnight. The investigat­ion is ongoing.

Man seeks medical attention

after accident

On Oct. 11, around 11:30 p.m., West Prince RCMP received a call of a single-vehicle accident at the roundabout at Route 2 and Route 145 in Bloomfield. The vehicle was found in a field, but the driver had left before the police arrived. The driver was later found at the hospital seeking medical attention. The investigat­ion is ongoing.

Truck found in ditch

On Oct. 13, around 2 a.m., West Prince RCMP members came upon a truck in the ditch on Route 145 in Bloomfield. The 46-year-old man was trying to get out of the truck.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and provided breath samples three times over the legal limit. The man is scheduled to appear in court in late November.
