ARSENAULT, DONAT AUGUSTIN

The funeral service for Donat Augustin Arsenault of Le ChezNous, Wellington and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., beloved husband of Rose Marie (nee Richard) Arsenault was held on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 from St. Paul’s Church, Summerside by Father Ignatius Sebastian. The Readings were read by Hailey Perreault and Aurella Arsenault. The Gospel was proclaimed and the Homily was delivered by Father Sebastian. The Prayers of the Faithful were read by Simone Arsenault. Hymns sung by members of the church choir were: “Tree of Life”, “Holy God, We Praise Your Name”, “J’irai La Voir Un Jour” and “Amazing Grace”. Organist was Bethany Dawson. A hymn sang by family members was “Dans la Maison du Pere” with Edmond Gallant on the piano. The cross bearer was John Perry; candle bearers were Benny Arsenault and Irving Arsenault; incense bearer was Windsor Arsenault and ushers were Jean Doucette and Yvonne Gallant. Urn bearer was his grandson Troy. Flower Bearers were granddaughters Hailey (Seb), Danielle and Emily. Interment took place in Notre Dame de Mont Carmel Cemetery with Father Sabastain officiating. A Service of Remembrance was held at the funeral home on Friday evening by members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 5, Summerside under the direction of Comrade Leroy Gamble. Sgt.-at-Arms was Comrade Irving Arsenault, the flag bearers were Comrades Gordon Perry and Richard Savidant and the Last Post was played by Comrade Reg Maclellan. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
