White picks up two assists in Attack win at home

MacArthur scores twice in Prince County’s bantam AAA victory

The Central Attack spread around the scoring and Jack Howatt was perfect in recording a 5-0 shutout of the Mid-Isle Matrix Saturday in Prince Edward Island Bantam AAA Hockey League action.

Luke Coughlin, Daimyan Boyle, Chris Koughan, Jonah MacDonald and Colby Huggan scored during the contest at MacLauchla­n Arena.

Kal White had two assists. Single assists went to Creegan Tompkins, Isaac Vos, Cam Squires, Bates Ling and Will Morrison.

Noah Visser was the losing goalie.

Central held 2-0 and 5-0 period leads. Each team went 0-for-4 on the power play. Central improved to a league-leading 10-1-0 while the Matrix (1-9-0) is in the basement.

Prince County 6, Mid-Isle 2

Carson MacArthur (2-0), Ethan Gallant (1-1), Cody McCormack (0-2) and Edmund Perry (0-2) each had two-point nights Friday to pace the Prince County Warriors to a 6-2 victory over the Matrix.

Patrick Shea, Clark Allain and Colby Perry also scored in the victory at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre.

Kale Wood and Wes Gavin added helpers. Angus Beaton and Jay MacDonald replied with Mid-Isle’s goals with Christophe­r MacDougall recording the lone assist. Kiefer Thompson earned the win while Tyler Rogers took the loss.

Prince County held 3-0 and 3-2 period leads. The Warriors improved to 4-6-0.
