Plenty of fun in December at Festival des Fêtes

The Festival des Fêtes is back for another season at the village musical acadien in Abram-Village.

The festival includes a variety of shows.

The festivitie­s will start with a dinner-show entitled Fêtons Noël which will take place on Dec. 5, 6 and 7, and begin at 6:30 p.m. The village is located at 1745, Route 124.

The show will feature five talented artists-comedians from the Evangeline region: Louise Arsenault, Jeannita Bernard, Hélène Bergeron, Julie Arsenault and Debbie Rousselle-Montgomery. They will present a variety of Christmas songs as well as comedy skits that will have you laughing out loud. A turkey meal with vegetable soup and dessert will be served during the evening.

“Do not wait to buy your tickets or make your reservatio­ns, because we have already received many calls from people who are looking forward to this beautiful evening,” said Marcel Bernard, president of village musical acadien.

On Dec. 21 at the Christmas Kitchen Party, from 8 to 10 p.m., visitors can enjoy an evening of Christmas songs presented by the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel choir and Jeannita Bernard. Bernard will lead the crowd in a sing-a-long of traditiona­l Christmas songs.

On Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. a family show will be held and will include an evening of songs, music and dance by a variety of local artists.

The last activity of the festival will be a New Year’s Eve dance with music by Paul Arsenault from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. This year, a menu of appetizers for purchase will be available from 10 to 11:30 p.m. Doors will open at 9:30 p.m. For more informatio­n and ticket reservatio­ns, call 902-8543300 or email at: info@villagemus­ical.com.
