The funeral for the late Raymond Charles Keough of Tignish was held on Wednesday November 28, 2018 from the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel Alberton to St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated at 10;30 a.m. by the Rev. John Molina who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading from the Book of Wisdom 3,1-9 was addressed by Angela Callaghan who also invited the prayers of the faithful. The second reading from 2nd Romans,5;17-21 was addressed by Bruce Arsenault. The Eucharisti­c ministers were Seminarian Walter Flynn, James Hogan. The crucifer was Clarence Gallant and the candle bearers were Charles Bernard and Clarence Powers. The alter server was James Hogan. The choir was under the direction of the Cantor Vincent Doucette and the Organist was Diane Handrahan. The procession­al hymn was Here I Am Lord. The psalm was The Lord is My Shepherd. The offertory hymn was I Will Never Forget You My People. The communion hymn was Eat This Bread. The song of farewell was Songs of the Angels. The recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. Everyone present for the funeral liturgy were considered to be Honorary Pallbearer­s. The active pallbearer­s were Alan Harper, Dennis Gavin, Darryl Gavin, Brendon Perry, Andrew MacCarthy, Jamie Perry. The flower bearers were Montana Keough, Carter Keough, Austin Keough, Kalynn Keough, Allie Keough, Avery Keough and Katie Keough. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. John Molina officiatin­g.
