Tattoo parlour assault cases adjourned

Two of the men who were charged after an incident at a Charlottetown tattoo parlour that left one of them with part of his leg amputated had their cases adjourned Thursday.

Riley MacFadyen, 20, and Donald (Artie) Gregg Gautreau, 49, both had their cases called separately before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown.

MacFadyen has been charged with assault with a weapon after an incident on Dec. 23 at Gautreau’s tattoo shop.

Charlottetown police allege two people showed up at Extreme Ink and got into a heated exchange with Gautreau.

The police allege one of the men pinned Gautreau against the building with a vehicle.

Gautreau had part of his leg amputated after the incident.

MacFadyen wasn’t in court Thursday where defence lawyer Thane MacEachern said his client was in an addiction treatment transition unit. His case was adjourned until March 7.

Gautreau appeared without a lawyer on Thursday where his matters were adjourned until March 12.

He is facing charges of mischief and assault with a weapon.

Sean Michael Lombardi, 26, is also facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon in connection with the incident.

His next court date is scheduled for March 7.
