The Funeral for Helen C. Turner, of the Mount Continuing Care Community and formerly of Indian River was held Wednesday February 13, 2019 from the Davison Funeral Home Kensington to St. Mary’s Holy Family Church Kensington where the funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Father Frank Jay. The first reading was given by daughter Joan Turner Adams. The Second Reading was given by granddaugh­ter Raeona MacLeod. The Prayers of the Faithful were offered by granddaugh­ter Katelyn Jacobson. Words of Remembranc­e were shared by Carol Evans. The Entrance Hymn Here I Am Lord, was led by her granddaugh­ters. The responsori­al Psalm was Psalm 27. Offertory Hymn was On Eagles Wings. Communion Hymn was Hail Mary Gentle Mother. Song of Farewell was Songs of the Angels. Soloist Kirk Neville rendered the selection Danny Boy. Recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. Organist was Kirk Neville. Altar servers were Anna Arsenault, Paula Aylward and Aldona Jollimore. Pallbearer­s were grandsons Rodney Evans, Brian Cochrane and Mitchell Adams and nephews Pat Bradley, Don Reid and Greg McKenna. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River. Members of St. Mary’s Holy Family CWL held a prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday evening conducted at 5:30 p.m. by President Marion Curley. A reading was given by Carol Evans. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary Br. # 9 Royal Canadian Legion Kensington held a service at the funeral home conducted by President Jamie Thomas.
