The Halfway Home Tour comes to Prince Edward Island on June 20, performing at Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside with special guest Bobby Bazini.
“It’s always great to have Matt Andersen on P.E.I. The energy he brings to a room is always so moving and incredible,” says Kieran Keller, Harbourfront’s executive director. “We’re thrilled to have him and The Mellotones come to Summerside this June. We have no doubt the audience is in for a big treat—that room will be rocking.”
The New Brunswick-born Andersen has been awarded numerous distinctions including the 2013 and 2016 European Blues Award for Best Solo/Acoustic Act and three Maple Blues Awards in 2012. He was also the first ever Canadian to take home top honours in the solo/duo category at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
