TYNE VALLEY – This year’s Rock the Boat Music Fest crowd can rock it out at Green Park on Aug. 3 with Big Wreck and The Road Hammers.

The Tyne Valley Oyster Festival operators of Rock the Boat announced the festival lineup on Wednesday with Big Wreck and The Road Hammers down as their Year Six headliners.

“Green Park will be rocking more than ever,” said festival chairman Adam MacLennan. “We take great pride in featuring Canadian Rock Music and this year we have our strongest lineup from top to bottom.”

MacLennan said hard rockers Big Wreck will energize Green Park with such hits as “The Oaf (My Luck is Wasted),” “That Song,” “Albatross” and “Blown Wide Open.” JUNO award winning Canadian country rockers, The Road Hammers (“Mud,” “Your Love is the Drug,” “Crazy About You”), are the highest selling Canadian county music band in history. Owners of five Top 10 Canadian radio hits, The Road Hammers, who were the CCMA Group of the Year in 2005 and 2006, will feature their unique blend of classic rock and country music.

Also confirmed for the Aug. 3 one-day festival are Canadian rock legends Honeymoon Suite (New Girl Now, Feel it Again), legendary P.E.I. band Haywire, P.E.I. Indie rockers Soul Filler and, back by popular demand, fan favourites, The Ellis Family Band.
