Recapping the week at KISH

Happy March everyone!

March has been a great month for us at KISH, here are some of the things we’ve been up to.

Our annual Junior High science fair took place on Feb. 25.

Congratula­tions to all the participan­ts in the school’s 2020 Science Fair.

Thank you to Heather Harris and Johanna Kelly from Kensington North Watershed Associatio­n for being judges for the event.

The following projects are representi­ng KISH at the provincial fair in April:

1st place - Ryan Cash and Sietse de Backer (Trash Picker Upper 3000)

2nd place – Bjorn Schmidt and Jordan Stewart (Electrical Magnetism)

3rd place - Liam Wilson and Connor Chappelle (Old but Shocking!!!)

Julia Folland and Faith Shea (Bread What?)

Hannah Caseley and Maya Connick (Bottle Garden vs Liquids)

Along with science, KISH students have been showing their school spirit this past week with a Spirit Week full of activities!

Monday, March 9 - Denim Day.

Tuesday, March 10 - Tacky Tourist Day.

Wednesday, March 11 Grade colours Day, and First Annual Assassin Hunt activity begins!

Thursday, March 12 - Spy dress up day.

Friday, March 13- Early Saint Patrick's Day, and the final day of our Assassin Hunt. We will also be selling shamrock name tags on Friday by donation, all proceeds going to Easter Seals.

Junior High report cards will also be issued Thursday, March 12. The following week (March 14th- 22nd) will be March Break.
