CUPCAKE DAY MARCH 10

K.R.H.S. students & staff will be baking & selling cupcakes as a fundraiser for The P.E.I. Humane Society on March 10. If interested in helping, please contact Leanne Arsenault.

ACADEMY DIPLOMA PROGRAM IN AGRICULTUR­E & BIOSCIENCE

The Grade 11 ADP students attended an event at Holland College on Feb. 20 to learn more about the Bio-Science sector. The Grade 12 ADP students attended ‘The World Day of Choice’ at the Silver Fox on March 3. Thanks to Mr. Killeen for accompanyi­ng the students.

ADP students are helping with Canadian Agricultur­e Literacy Month by reading to children at local elementary schools and local public libraries. They also raised $225 for Farmers Helping Farmers with their ‘Buy a Cookie, Buy a Goat’ fundraiser.

MUSIC NEWS

Special thanks to Kirk White for the excellent work he does with our music program. Concert Band rehearsals run every Tuesday from 3:10-4:45 p.m. Students participat­ed in Band Days on March 3 at The College of Piping & Celtic Performing Arts of Canada.

KRHS PARENT COUNCIL

Our Parent Council meets on a regular basis. Next meeting is March 10 at 6 p.m. All parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend!

BLAZER HOCKEY IS BACK

The Annual High School Hockey friendship tournament is coming soon. Both of our boys and girls teams have performed well in the last few years and there are sure to be exciting games again this year.

BLAZER SPORTING NEWS

~Women’s Rugby Practice will begin soon for any interested girls in Grades 10-12. Practices are on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11 at KISH from 4-5:30pm.

After that practices will alternate between KRHS and KISH. All are welcome to come out and try rugby!

~ Badminton practice Wednesdays after school.

~ P.E.I.S.A.A. Powerlifti­ng Provincial­s are Mar. 11.
