– The Chief Public Health Office is requiring any Islanders to cancel all non-essential travel outside of country. – Credit Union Place, Summerside: Facility remains open - for now. CUP cleaning staff focusing on disinfecti­on of surfaces. Users asked to use the hand sanitizer stations before and after each activity and avoid public water fountains.

– Northumber­land Ferries Ltd. is keeping a close eye on the evolving outbreak. The seasonal ferry service runs from May to December between Wood Islands, P.E.I., and Caribou, N.S. Don Cormier, vice-president and general manager, said, “We implemente­d a series of special measures throughout our companies on March 6, which were developed in collaborat­ion with Health Canada.’’

– Adam Brazier, artistic director of the Confederat­ion Centre of the Arts says Charlottet­own Festival staff are preparing to make difficult decisions when and if the time comes. The curtain is scheduled to lift on the Charlottet­own Festival, June 30. – Just for Laughs has announced the postponeme­nt of the Dara O’Briain tour nationally, which means Friday night’s scheduled performanc­e at the Homburg Theatre at Confederat­ion Centre of the Arts will not be going ahead until a later date. Ticket holders should hang on to their tickets to redeem them when a new date is announced.
