SICK FOX ALERT
Sightings of a thin and sickly-looking fox in the Vars area sparked fears on Facebook that there might be a rabid animal in the area. But the operators of the Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary say the fox is not rabid but is suffering from mange and may be also be a female with a den of kits somewhere in the community. Anyone seeing the fox is asked to note its location, avoid approaching it, and contact the Sanctuary either through its Facebook page or email to PennyLaneSanctuary@gmail.com. Sanctuary volunteers will try to collect the fox for examination and treatment of its mange condition before releasing it back into the area where it was captured.
