433 Squadron is off to RIMPAC

Eight CF- 18 Hornets from 433 Squadron took off from Bagotville on June 28th to take part in Exercise Rim of the Pacific ( RIMPAC) which is held in Hawaii until August 4th.

Nearly 110 members including 20 fighter pilots from Bagotville will take part in this important international maritime exercise.

This is the first deployment outside the country for 433 Squadron since its reactivation on June 16th.

Exercise Rim of the Pacific ( RIMPAC) is the leading international maritime exercise in the world and includes countries with a common interest to the Pacific Coast region. RIMPAC is conducted every two years in the Hawaiian Islands and Pearl Harbour,

From June 30th to August 4th, more than 1,500 sailors, soldiers and airmen will participate in the exercise led by the United States Navy in the Hawaiian and Southern California regions. This year, the exercise will bring together 25,000 personnel, 45 ships, five submarines and over 200 aircrafts from 27 countries.
