1 CAD Commander visited Bagotville

Major General Christian Drouin, Commander of 1 Canadian Air Division ( 1 CAD), and Chief Warrant Officer Mike Scarcella, came from Winnipeg on September 28 to see the camp facilities erected by members of 2 Wing during Exercise Phoenix Warrior.

During their visit, they met with members of 2 Wing working at the camp and directly involved in operations on the ground. They were able to observe 2 Wing’s state of readiness during their visit. "2 Wing provides a unique expertise to support air operations which enables the Royal Canadian Air Force to be flexible and versatile when responding to mission requests by the government.” said MGen Drouin. “And I am very proud of what 2 Wing members have been able to accomplish during Exercise Phoenix Warrior ". It was the first visit to Bagotville for MGen Drouin since he took command of 1 Canadian Air Division.
