Two new activities for children at MFRC

-

In the past few weeks, the Bagotville MFRC team has developed two new activities for children in the community. One of these activities is a series of scientific workshops for children aged 5 to 12 years old. "These are very enjoyable activities that enable young people to learn science. We want children to discover and appreciate science through experiments and games, "explains MarieHélène Lapierre, community organizer at the Bagotville MFRC. The first of these activities took place on January 28th. The area of study for this activity was the weather. Children were able to experiment with various ways of imitating meteorological phenomena. The workshops were held solely thanks to military volunteers. At the moment, the workshops are offered once a month. The next ones will be held on February 25th and March 25th with a cost of $ 5 per child. Parents can contact the MFRC at 417- 677- 7468 for more information or to register their child for future workshops. Father- Child Day On February 4th, the MFRC held the first edition of its new ' Father- Child' day. The goal of this new initiative, as the name suggests, is to allow fathers to spend quality time with their children. To do this, several activities will be organized during the year. Programming is available from the MFRC.
