New signs to recall the rules
New signs will soon appear around the Bagotville Canadian Forces base as a reminder that the use of drones is prohibited around airports and military bases. These rules have been put in place by Transport Canada which governs civil aviation in Canada, and they are designed to ensure the safety of air transportation. "This is an additional preventive measure. The signs are intended to remind users of drones of the safe and legal use of these aircraft near airfields, "says Captain Adrien Côté, Military Police Chief in Bagotville. Transport Canada is responsible for the regulation and enforcement of the rules governing the use of any aircraft flying in Canada. Details of the regulations can be found on Transport Canada website.
