75 years of history

-

The Bagotville Air Defense Museum will start activities on June 3rd for the high tourist season. To mark the 75th anniversary of CFB Bagotville, the museum has created a brand new exhibition called Defense of the North. In the middle of the Second World War, the Department of National Defense decided to build the Bagotville base to protect the region and its industrial infrastructures. From past to present, the exhibition tells the story of this Saguenay military base. Along with this new exhibition, the same successes from previous years will be on display as well. Masters of the Sky, which traces the various historical aspects of Canadian military aviation, will be presented inside The unique Multimedia exhibition State of Alert is also back. And of course the museum still offers the popular visit of the Base. The museum guides will be there to greet visitors every day of the summer, from 9 am to 5 pm. Members of the Bagotville military community can visit the museum for free with proof of identity.
