The NORAD CF- 18 Demo on tour
The Royal Canadian Air Force CF- 18 Demonstration team will take part in NORAD's 60th anniversary celebrations in both Canada and the United States.
The aircraft unveiled last April wearing NORAD’s colors. It will fly over the organization headquarters in Colorado Springs as part of a ceremony celebrating this anniversary. The CF- 18 will also fly over the Canadian NORAD Headquarters in Winnipeg on May 24th. This years pilot of the demonstration aircraft, Captain Stefan Porteous, will be accompanied on the road by two teams of technicians. One comes from CFB Cold Lake and will cover western Canada and the United States. The second team is comprised of technicians from the two Bagotville Fighter Squadrons, Squadrons 425 and 433, and will support the shows in Eastern North America. The RCAF CF- 18 Demonstration Team will participate in 25 air shows by October 14th, when the season will end with two performances in the US state of Missouri.
