Police hop on bikes to honour fallen Sask. colleagues

Around two-dozen police officers are cycling from Saskatoon to Regina in memory of colleagues who died on the job in Saskatchewan.

Ride to Remember is also an effort to bring awareness to the 13th annual Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officer Memorial, which takes place on the last Sunday of September.

A group of 25 officers from across the province left the Saskatoon police headquarters Friday around 9:30 a.m. and were expected to stop over in the Watrous area before their arrival in Regina on Saturday afternoon. The route covers more than 300 kilometres.
