Pedestrian struck by skid-steer loader

A 54 year-old man was transporte­d to a Regina hospital for injuries after he was hit by a skid-steer loader Thursday afternoon. Regina police received a call at approximat­ely 2 p.m. Thursday about a motor vehicle incident on the 5400 block of Watson Way, between what police referred to as “a bobcat machine” and a pedestrian. The victim was transporte­d to the hospital by EMS with non-life threatenin­g injuries. The man was later released from the hospital. Occupation Health and Safety and the constructi­on companies are investigat­ing this incident. Police have determined there is no criminal aspect to this case.
