• Galt Museum and Archives’ Wednesday at the Galt lecture program for adults and seniors continues Jan. 11 from 2-3 p.m., featuring “University of Lethbridge: 50 Years in 50 Minutes.” Join Archivist Mike Perry for a fascinatin­g look at the history of the U of L as it celebrates its 50th anniversar­y. The group is part of the Lethbridge Stroke Recovery Associatio­n, formerly known as Chinook Stroke Club. • Prairie Tractor and Engine Museum Society holds a directors’ meeting the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Kleeman Building at the Pioneer Village of Coyote Flats on Prairie Tractor property (1.5 km south of Picture Butte High School on Highway 843). • Galt Museum and Archives’ Saturdays at 1:00 hands-on history program for families continues Jan. 14 from 1-2 p.m., featuring “Painted Polar Bears.” Create a polar bear painting inspired by one of the many objects in the Galt’s collection. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders.

• The Nikkei Cultural Society of

Lethbridge and Area will host a New Year's Party Jan. 14 at the ItalianCan­adian Cultural Centre, 1511 St. Edward Blvd. N.
