• “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” a concert for the Interfaith Food Bank, will be presented April 29 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at McKillop United Church, 24 Street and 15 Avenue South. The “Catch the Spirit” music team — introducin­g a new recording — will be joined by Bow City Undergroun­d, Cornucopia and John-Paul Ksiazek and guest stars Juran Green, David Mikuliak and Don Ponech. Admission will be $20 or 20 lb. of food. • A Silent Guided Retreat, “The Eight Beatitudes of a Contemplat­ive Pilgrim,” will take place April 29 to May 6 at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S. • The MCC Thrift Shop, across the street from Save-On Foods. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be 50 per cent off on the last business day and second Saturday of each month.
