SACPA speakers to discuss today’s youth
Youth are the future. Today at SACPA, co-speakers Douhouk Dabbas and Kristina Larkin will present “What are the Barriers and Strengths of Today’s Newcomer Youth?”
Dabbas is from Syria and has been in Canada for one year and three months. She lives with her family and is studying at LCI. Larkin is a Canadian-born daughter of an Irish immigrant, and the manager of Youth Settlement Services at Lethbridge Family Services.
They will look to highlight the lived experience of newcomer youth, and the action and development of community services that aim to meet their needs.
The regular weekly SACPA meeting goes from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Country Kitchen Catering.
