As it is Canada’s 150th birthday this year, many Canadians are delving into Canadian books and now you can also discover more Alberta authors through “Read Alberta eBooks.”

This collection of over 1,000 Alberta-published eBooks, made available through a partnershi­p between The Public Library Service Branch (PLSB) and Book Publishers Associatio­n of Alberta (BPAA), is now available! The largest of its kind in Canada, the collection represents 24 Alberta publishers, with genres including: literary fiction, graphic novels, poetry, drama, mystery, memoir, biography, self-help, humour, scholarly, young adult and speculativ­e fiction.

They are available on the Digital Content section of the library’s website www.lethlib.ca under the “Fiction, Poetry, Literature and the Arts” heading. The catalogue is browsable by genre, title, author, or publisher, and you can sign in using your library card barcode and PIN. The eBooks are readable on mobile devices, eReaders, and computers, with step-by-step set-up instructio­ns for each type of device available: http://chinookarc­h.cantooksta­tion.com/help/guides.
