A new website created by Economic Development Lethbridge showcases the city as a “Bright Choice” for innovation, business, and community life.

The revamped chooselethbridge.ca website has a fresh new design and a more dynamic, mobilefriendly interface.

It also includes a data dashboard to access recent statistics and market information about Lethbridge, as well as an interactive map highlighting the city’s prominent industries, services and amenities. Profiles of local businesses operating out of the Tecconnect centre are also featured.

The website aims to provide business owners and investors the detailed information they need when researching the city, “while also promoting the social and cultural elements that make Lethbridge such a great community,” said EDL CEO Trevor Lewington in a press release.

“As an organization, we have consistently dedicated resources to ensuring we are providing up-to-date quality data and information to help investors, entrepreneurs and people choose Lethbridge,” said Lewington.

“The new design builds on this foundation, to tell the story of our city in a more compelling way, to help people who are looking for a place to start a business or pursue a new career to choose Lethbridge.”

“Research shows that there is a significant trend, particularly among young talent, to prioritize quality of place over job opportunities,” said Jaylene Ulmer, EDL’s director of Marketing and Communications.

This “interconnected decision making process” is part of what led EDL to develop the Bright Choice identity, she said.

The website is one part of EDL’s strategy to attract business and talent to the city. The strategy also includes “enhanced digital tactics” which will expand the Choose Lethbridge social media presence.
