Chapter will hold its Annual General Meeting May 4 at 6:45 p.m. at the Lethbridge Public Library Theatre Gallery, 810 5 Ave. S. Guest speaker will be Dr. Carolyn Nowry of Canadian Doctors For Medicare on the topic “A Case for a Universal Pharmacare program in Canada.” Dr. Nowry will take questions after her talk. Everyone is welcome.

• “Caring for the Caregivers,” a free talk by Dr. Roland Ikuta, will take place

May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, 470 40 St. S. Dr. Ikuta, a geriatrici­an, will speak about dementia, the burden of caregiving and how health-care profession­als can support caregivers. Representa­tives from the Alzheimer Society will talk about their role in supporting caregivers.

Garage Sale, at 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West, originally scheduled for May 5 and 6, has been reschedule­d to May 12 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. • “Jane's Walk” in historic London Road will take place May 6 from 10 a.m.-noon. Come and learn about some of the quirky characters who lived here in the early days of Lethbridge. Meet at 10 a.m. in London Road Park on 7 Avenue and 7 Street S. • University of Lethbridge will present Culture Vulture Saturdays, featuring “Futuristic Compositio­ns” May 6 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the University Centre for the Arts Atrium. Visitors to Culture Vulture will be encouraged to look forward and picture the future with a photomonta­ge. • The Taka Karate School annual demonstrat­ion will take place May 7 at 2 p.m. at the University of Lethbridge main theatre. • The Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion will hold its monthly meeting May 9 at 1 p.m. at the Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S. (use north door). This meeting is being held in the afternoon to try to attract some of the shut-ins and ladies who don’t like to drive at night; the auxiliary’s numbers are slowly dwindling and its members would hate to see the L.A. fold. At the meeting there will be strawberry shortcake and a beverage, free of charge.

• Food Fit, a free program combining classes in nutrition and fitness, begins its next 12-week series of classes in May, running Tuesdays from 5-8 p.m. starting May 9 or
