The religious community’s bulletin board of activities appears each Saturday in The Herald.

• Immanuel Lutheran Church Giant Garage Sale, at 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West, will take place May 12 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

• The Anglican Church of the Ascension, 2115 17 St., Coaldale, will hold its Annual Garage Sale May 12 from 4-8 p.m. and May 13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Featuring household items, toys, books, clothing, furniture, tools, sporting goods and a bake table. Barbecue at noon. Come and find great deals and treasures.

• The Rehoboth Garden Centre will host its Annual Spring Sale and Barbecue May 13. Coffee on at 9:30 a.m., barbecue and bake sale will run from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Garden centre will be open from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Come check out the bedding plants, perennials, hanging baskets, patio furniture, weaving and gardening supplies. • Slowing Down in a Speeded Up World: Laugh Again with Phil Callaway will be held May 15 at 7 p.m. at Park Meadows Baptist Church, 2011 15 Ave. N. Free admission, with a freewill offering to be taken during intermissi­on. Phil will also have his books and CDs available for purchase. • An Oasis Day will be offered May 23, 9 a.m.4 p.m. at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S. A time to be … with oneself, with God and the marvel of nature in this season of spring. • Watoto Children’s Choir will perform May 30 at 7 p.m. at the Miz City Church, 502 13 St. N., as part of their “Signs and Wonders Tour.” No charge, but there will be an opportunit­y to give through a freewill offering. • 55-Plus at Via Church (formerly River of Life) welcomes all to their monthly pot-luck suppers on the third Saturday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at 2820 18 Ave. N. (NOTE: May supper will take place on the second Saturday, May 13). Please bring a dish to share, and in turn share with our programs/speakers, etc. the goodness

• The Missions Thrift Store, located at 1004 1 Ave. S., is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Profits go toward mission work and Bibles for people in China and other Asian countries. Phone 403-327-3199.

• The MCC Thrift Shop, across the street from Save-On Foods. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee. • Coaldale United Church operates Ye Old Thrift Shoppe Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2022 18 St., Coaldale. Most clothing at $2 or less and miscellane­ous items at reasonable prices (no large furniture). Donations of smaller household items and clothing — clean and in good condition — are appreciate­d.
