• The Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion will hold its monthly meeting May 9 at 1 p.m. at the Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S. (use north door). This meeting is being held in the afternoon to try to attract some of the shut-ins and ladies who don’t like to drive at night; the auxiliary’s numbers are slowly dwindling and its members would hate to see the L.A. fold. At the meeting there will be strawberry shortcake and a beverage, free of charge.

• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organizati­on will offer a class on “Farm House Boxes” May 11 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Rustic farm house boxes are a fun way to decorate for everyday and the seasons. Boxes measure 20 x 7 and 5 1/4” high. Wood will come pre-stained and prebuilt.
