He was represented by Native Counselling, however, and the matter was simply adjourned to May 29 to give him another chance to attend court.
Black Plume, 48, is charged with two counts of drug possession while Day Chief faces two charges of possession of stolen property.

Members of the downtown policing unit and the support shift and community resources unit, executed a search warrant and found six people inside the home. A man was charged in connection with the seizure of a small quantity of narcotics, while two women were arrested on outstanding warrants, one of whom was in possession of two stolen IDs.
The remaining individuals were released without charges.
Following the search, the home was secured by the landlord and the male tenant was served a 24-hour eviction notice.
