• McKillop United Church Neighbourh­ood Flea Market and Garage Sale will be held May 27 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the church, 2329 15 Ave. S. Sale includes household and kitchen items, lawn and garden supplies, toys, electronic­s and all sorts of hidden treasures. No price tags, no haggling. Church items will be sold by donation (pay what you think it’s worth).

• Watoto Children’s Choir will perform May 30 at 7 p.m. at the Miz City Church, 502 13 St. N., as part of their “Signs and Wonders Tour.” No charge, but there will be an opportunit­y to give through a freewill offering. • Dan and Melissa David will perform a concert June 3 as part of the 10 a.m. service at Beit Telfillah Sameach (Joyful House of Prayer), 336 13 St. N., featuring music from their upcoming worship album, “Draw Me Close.” A freewill offering will be taken to support the Davids’ ministry. • Six-Day Silent Guided Retreat will take place June 3, 7:30 p.m. to June 10, 1 p.m. at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S. • 75th Anniversar­y at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church (643 13 St. N.) will be celebrated June 3 - Vespers at 6 p.m., and June 4 - Hierarchia­l Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. with Bishop Ilarion. Hours at 9 a.m. Hierarchia­l Divine liturgy followed by a celebratio­n at the German Canadian Club. • Rehoboth Sunshine Auxiliary of Rehoboth Christian Ministries will host its Annual Pork Roast June 9 at the Vocational Centre in Coaldale (1 km north of Coaldale on Hwy. 845). This is a come and-go supper served from 5-7 p.m. Cost is by donation. Call 403-345-5199 for more informatio­n.

• The Missions Thrift Store, located at 1004 1 Ave. S., is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Profits go toward mission work and Bibles for people in China and other Asian countries. Phone 403-327-3199.

• The MCC Thrift Shop, across the street from Save-On Foods. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee. • Coaldale United Church operates Ye Old Thrift Shoppe Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2022 18 St., Coaldale. Most clothing at $2 or less and miscellane­ous items at reasonable prices (no large furniture). Donations of smaller household items and clothing — clean and in good condition — are appreciate­d.
