• A beef-on-a-bun fundraiser to support Westminster Elementary School Library will be held June 16 from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Green Acres Foundation office, 122 5 Ave. S. $5 for a beef-on-a-bun sandwich, dessert and a drink with all proceeds going to the school. • A Homemade Lasagna Dinner will take place June 16 starting at 5 p.m. at the Barons Community Hall, 209 Noble St. in Barons. Event is a fundraiser for Barons Memorial United Church. $10 per person (children under 6 free). Includes salad, buns and dessert.
• The University of Lethbridge will raise the Pride flag in celebration of Lethbridge Pride Week and the diverse campus community June 16 from 10:3011 a.m. at the Aperture Drive bus loop.
• Fort Whoop-Up will present Blackfoot Stories June 16 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Listen to elders in the tipi and learn about Blackfoot culture. Admission fees apply; admission includes a complimentary wagon ride. The Fort will also present a Whisky Tasting event from 6-9 p.m. (must be 18+). • The Chicken Wing Challenge, benefiting Parkinson Alberta, will take place June 21 at 6 p.m. at Hudsons Tap House, 904 2 Ave. S. • Trees of Fairfield Gardens Walking Tour will take place June 29 at 7 p.m. Join Ladybug Arborist Maureen SexsmithWest on a free guided walk through the park. The program organizes volunteers to paint exterior projects for seniors and people who are physically or financially unable to do the work themselves. He weighs about eight kilograms. Its owner says the cat could possibly have gotten into the open door of a vehicle because it is used to riding in a truck.
