• Fort Whoop-Up will celebrate National Aboriginal Day June 21 from 1-4:30 p.m. Includes Metis storytelli­ng, a scavenger hunt, Blackfoot stories with Blanche Bruisedhea­d, a mini powwow from 2-3:30 p.m., a hoop dancer, kids’ activity tables and traditiona­l foods. • Taste of Ethiopia, a fundraisin­g event for Galata Ministries, will take place June 24 at 625 21 St. S. starting at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15, available at the door or in advance by calling 403380-9154. Galata Ministries works with Ethiopian refugees stranded in Kenya and with the Malle people of South Omo, Ethiopia. Secondhand Treasures rooms will be open. Pancake breakfasts will resume in September. • Volunteer Lethbridge Project Paintbrush is operating for another summer. The program organizes volunteers to paint exterior projects for seniors and people who are physically or financiall­y unable to complete the work themselves. Homeowner applicatio­ns are being accepted, and volunteers and sponsors are also needed.
