• Interfaith Food Bank will host Movie in the Garden featuring the Disney animated film “Moana” June 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the Interfaith Learning Garden, 1103 3 Ave. N. • Fort Whoop-Up will present: June 23, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Blackfoot Stories - Listen to elders in the tipi and learn about Blackfoot culture; June 24, 1-2 p.m., Saturdays at the Fort family program. Admission fees apply; admission includes a compliment­ary wagon ride.

• Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club invites the public to play shuffleboa­rd, mixed darts and billiards (pool) Fridays,7 p.m., 517 5 Ave. S.

• Taste of Ethiopia, a fundraisin­g event for Galata Ministries, will take place June 24 at 625 21 St. S. starting at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15, available at the door or in advance by calling 403-380-9154. • Shaughness­y Community Centre will host its final pancake breakfast of the season June 24 from 8-11 a.m. Cost is $5. Secondhand Treasures rooms will be open. Pancake breakfasts will resume in September.

• Lethbridge authors Danika Stone and Casey Griffin will hold a dual book signing June 24 at 2 p.m. at Chapters in Park Place mall, in celebratio­n of the launch of their new books, “Internet Famous” by Stone and “Secrets of a Reluctant Princess” by Griffin. • Enchant Evangelica­l Free Church of Canada will celebrate its 100th anniversar­y June 24-25 with a weekend of free events. • Waterton United Church will continue with its summer series of guest ministers, including: June 25, Bryan Huston, licensed lay leader from Southminst­er United Church; July 2, Rev. Pauline Bell of Lethbridge; and July 9, Rev. Randy Croszman of Nova Scotia. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. Coffee and refreshmen­ts available after the service. Come and see the renovated church and have an enjoyable experience visiting the park.

• The Lethbridge and District Horticultu­ral Society invites the public to hear local historian Belinda Crowson speak on “Victory Gardens” June 26 at 7 p.m. at the Lethbridge Public Library Theatre Gallery (Main Branch). Victory Gardens were plots of private and public land used to grow vegetables during both world wars in order to help the war effort. Crowson will share informatio­n on the Victory Garden movement and the Lethbridge connection.

• YWCA Lethbridge & District’s 12th annual Turning Point Golf Classic will be held June 27 at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort. Registrati­on is $200 for individual golfers, $700 for team registrati­on. Includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and dinner, prizes, silent auction and a chance to win $10,000 with a hole-inone. Funds raised go to YWCA Harbour House. • The Lethbridge Bee Enthusiast­s will hold their last meeting before fall June 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Theoretica­lly Brewing Company (1263 2 Ave. S.). The event will feature guest speaker Megan Evans, park ecologist with Alberta Parks, who will talk about “Native Bee Diversity.” No cost unless you'd like to have a pint.

• Trees of Fairfield Gardens Walking Tour will take place June 29 at 7 p.m. Join Ladybug Arborist Maureen Sexsmith West on a free guided walk through the park. She will discuss the many varieties of trees and answer questions on diseases and insect pests. Everyone welcome. No registrati­on required. Fairfield Gardens are located at the Lethbridge Research Centre. Drive down the Jail Road (1 Avenue South) about 1 km east of 43 Street South and watch for the Tree Tour signs. • The Lethbridge Research and Developmen­t Centre will host an Open House June 29 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the centre, 5403 1 Ave. S. (.8 km east of 43 Street), featuring guided tours, displays and demonstrat­ions. Talk with experts involved in challenges facing agricultur­e today. A day of fun activities for the whole family. Free admission and parking.

• Retirement Celebratio­n for Joyce Crittenden will be held June 29 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, 802 2A Ave. N., to mark Joyce’s 32-plus years of service to the community. The drop-in event will feature light refreshmen­ts.

• A Canada Day Luncheon will be held June 30 from noon-1 p.m., outside at Seasons Retirement Community, 1730 10 Ave. S. $5 per person for burger, potato salad, cake and juice; seating is limited. For tickets, call Jan, 403-320-2270, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Ticket deadline June 23.

• Interfaith Food Bank seeks vendors to participat­e in the Handmade Homegrown Market July 1 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Galt Gardens Pergola. • West Wind Gymnastics Club is offering summer week-long camps for kids ages 5-11 where they will swim, craft, run, play, learn science experiment­s as well as gymnastics.
