MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

This public service feature runs each Saturday in the Lethbridge Herald.

If Thorsie could talk, he would tell you about living as a stray in a backyard shed for many years. This medium-haired grey and white tabby would relate how he’d constantly look in the window the house, dreaming of the day when he would be invited in. Now this mancat, about 11 years old, has been rescued, and he loves telling people how grateful he is for the chance at a home, and a family. He is friendliness itself, ready to purr, to give head-bumps, to be your best pal. He will say “good morning” to you every day, “welcome home” when you return after work and “good night” when snuggling next to you in bed. Thorsie wants to let you know how he’s happy not to be a stray, but that he’s only halfway to fulfilling his dream. Would you like to have a chat with Thorsie? Cal PAW at 403-328-6700 or send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. Let Thorsie say “thanks” to you.

K.D. is a big, gentle boy, and a very handsome tabby! He was born in 2016, and just came to the Humane Society this spring. K.D. is new to the cat room and stays close to his own kennel while he settles in. He is quiet, but appears to like and trust people.

If you are interested in meeting K.D., you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). Sushi and Soya are two kittens from a group of five that came to Purrfect Endings Rescue from an overcrowded shelter in Medicine Hat. They are all up for adoption at Petland and we would like to thank Allan and his staff for their compassion and kindness. Without their help we would not have had the space to accommodate them. We also have our two orange girls, Belle and Ginger, looking for their furever homes as well as our bunny, Thumper. Our little baby manx, Blue, continues to do very well. Visit us on Facebook for more information and updates on our adoptable pets as well as our permanent residents or call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977). We are always in need of donations to help with our neverending vet bills and other expenses. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us.

The Last Chance Cat Ranch recently had urgent calls about homeless kittens with an intake of 13 kittens from four locations including Lilo and Stitch, who were found in a cardboard box in a dumpster. They also include three little orphaned ones, about four weeks old, who are being cared for at Family Pet Hospital, along with four others also found abandoned. Athena and her four babies also. Not only kittens but five other adults. Foster homes are urgently needed. Please read about us by visiting us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lastchancecatranch. Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue efforts
