MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

Jack Sparrow has been through a lot in his short life. When he was found he looked like he had been on his own for a long time. He has since been treated for earmites and fleas and was also neutered and vaccinated. He is a friendly, little, Manx approximately one year old. Jack is currently at Petland and will be up for adoption once he has fully recovered from his surgery. His adoption fee is $225 which includes his neutering, deworming and first and second vaccinations.

Thank you so much to Jenny and Dr. Magrath of IVS and Allan and his wonderful staff at Petland. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about Jack. We are also on Facebook. Our account at Green Acres Animal Hospital is getting quite high. We are always in desperate need of donations. No amount is too small. Please help us help those with no choice and no voice.

Enoch and Griff came into rescue independently and are now best friends in their foster home. Enoch came in injured, with a fractured pelvis, injured jaw and foot. He has healed now and has to be watched for further development in healing with his pelvis as he grows. Griffin is in excellent health. Both will be neutered when they are old enough. We would like to see Enoch and Griffin adopted together. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at The Body Shop event last Saturday at Park Place mall. Our bottle drive is on Aug. 12 as we do not do one on long weekends. Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue efforts. We could not do what we do without your support.

There aren’t many things in life more important than family. Isobel knows it. This two-year-old rustybrown and white tabby was rescued, but still was frightened and alone, even among other cats. Then she found Morley. Going on six, this grey and white tabby is happy, gentle, intelligent. He became the big brother Isobel needed. He accepted his role and the pair are now bonded — a family in search of a family. You see, though these two loving cats cannot be separated, they still want a human of their own. Morley likes to belong to someone, talk to them, watch what they do. Always by his side is Isobel, shy but, under Morley’s tutelage, and with a person’s patience, ready to learn to trust and love. To meet this wonderful pair, call PAW at 403-328-6700 or send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. Morley and Isobel are family; will you be their family, too? PAW is in the Community Booth at the Exhibition Farmers Market today until 1 p.m.

Ben was born in the summer of 2014. He is a large rambunctious boy who loves to run. Ben equally enjoys playing in the compound and going for walks. He would be thrilled to have a family that is very active and spends time outdoors.

If you are interested in meeting Ben, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). To view other Haven pets, go to
