• Free outdoor fit camp, for all ages and all abilities, runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at two locations in the city. • The Galt Museum’s Summer Family Fun hands-on-history program for families continues Aug. 8 from 13 p.m. with “Videos, Games and Popcorn!” Join Taren Hager from the Oldman Watershed Council to explore how kids and families can have fun while helping protect the environmen­t. • Alzheimer Society Caregiver Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30 p.m. at Clearview Lodge, 4730 50 Ave., in Taber.

• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organizati­on will offer “Golf For Seniors 55+” Wednesdays, Aug. 930 or Fridays, Aug. 11-Sept. 1, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Golf Centre. Cara Vanderham, assistant golf profession­al, will instruct the lessons. Bring your golf clubs; if you don’t have any, they will be provided. Space is limited. • Fort Whoop-Up will present: Aug. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Eats ’n Entertainm­ent - Fireside fun before bedtime; Aug. 11, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Blackfoot Stories - Listen to elders in the tipi and learn about Blackfoot culture; Aug. 12, 1-2 p.m., Saturdays at the Fort family program. Admission fees apply; admission includes a compliment­ary wagon ride.

• Shakespear­e in the Park is performed every Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. in Galt Gardens until Aug. 11. This year’s play is “A Comedy of Errors,” a fast-paced comedy re-imagined in Canada’s Wild West. Bring lawn chairs. Enjoy the play, the park and pizza by Pizza Junction. • Fort Whoop-Up will host “Indigenous Bridges,” a concert featuring traditiona­l music and dance performanc­es by the Ainu people of Japan and the Blackfoot Nation Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. (outdoors in the Fort compound, weather permitting). The Ainu performers are part of Ainu Art Project, a larger group consisting of 23 members in total which expresses traditiona­l Ainu culture via dance, music and handcrafts. The Blackfoot drum group is the Yellow Gun Singers, with dance performanc­es by Jeremy Oka and Torry Eagle Speaker. Admission fees apply (free to Fort Whoop-Up annual pass holders).

• Miners Days Historical Society of Coalhurst is hosting its annual Miners Days celebratio­n Aug. 11-12. Coalhurst Legion will host Karen’s Karaoke on Friday night along with a silent auction. Saturday begins with a toonie pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and is followed by Homesteade­r Carnival at the Park from noon–4 p.m. For complete informatio­n on the weekend events, check the Facebook page at Coalhurst Miners Days.

• Coalhurst Miners Day Show and Shine will take place Aug. 12 at Miners’ Memorial Park in Coalhurst. Vehicle registrati­on from 10 a.m.noon (registrati­on fee $10); show from noon-4 p.m. Open to all vehicles, including work-in-progress project vehicles. Includes trophy awards, sponsor draws, hovercraft and drift, trike displays, food, music and great fun. Free admission to spectators.
