• Lethbridge Pickleball plays weekday mornings (weather permitting), 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kinsmen Park, 9 Avenue between 10 and 11 Street South. Experienced players are welcome. For more details, email jimwood@shaw.ca.
• Free outdoor fit camp, for all ages and all abilities, runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at two locations in the city. • The Galt Museum’s Summer Family Fun hands-on-history program for families continues Aug. 8 from 13 p.m. with “Videos, Games and Popcorn!” Join Taren Hager from the Oldman Watershed Council to explore how kids and families can have fun while helping protect the environment. • LSCO Karaoke Club is looking for new singers to join the club in preparation for their October Fall Concert. The club meets every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Come join them for good fun and singing. There is an extensive library with all the words on the screen.
• Alzheimer Society Caregiver Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30 p.m. at Clearview Lodge, 4730 50 Ave., in Taber.

• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization will offer “Golf For Seniors 55+” Wednesdays, Aug. 930 or Fridays, Aug. 11-Sept. 1, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Golf Centre. Cara Vanderham, assistant golf professional, will instruct the lessons. Bring your golf clubs; if you don’t have any, they will be provided. Space is limited. • Fort Whoop-Up will present: Aug. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Eats ’n Entertainment - Fireside fun before bedtime; Aug. 11, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Blackfoot Stories - Listen to elders in the tipi and learn about Blackfoot culture; Aug. 12, 1-2 p.m., Saturdays at the Fort family program. Admission fees apply; admission includes a complimentary wagon ride.
• Shakespeare in the Park is performed every Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. in Galt Gardens until Aug. 11. This year’s play is “A Comedy of Errors,” a fast-paced comedy re-imagined in Canada’s Wild West. Bring lawn chairs. Enjoy the play, the park and pizza by Pizza Junction. • Fort Whoop-Up will host “Indigenous Bridges,” a concert featuring traditional music and dance performances by the Ainu people of Japan and the Blackfoot Nation Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. (outdoors in the Fort compound, weather permitting). The Ainu performers are part of Ainu Art Project, a larger group consisting of 23 members in total which expresses traditional Ainu culture via dance, music and handcrafts. The Blackfoot drum group is the Yellow Gun Singers, with dance performances by Jeremy Oka and Torry Eagle Speaker. Admission fees apply (free to Fort Whoop-Up annual pass holders).
• Miners Days Historical Society of Coalhurst is hosting its annual Miners Days celebration Aug. 11-12. Coalhurst Legion will host Karen’s Karaoke on Friday night along with a silent auction. Saturday begins with a toonie pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and is followed by Homesteader Carnival at the Park from noon–4 p.m. For complete information on the weekend events, check the Facebook page at Coalhurst Miners Days.
• Coalhurst Miners Day Show and Shine will take place Aug. 12 at Miners’ Memorial Park in Coalhurst. Vehicle registration from 10 a.m.noon (registration fee $10); show from noon-4 p.m. Open to all vehicles, including work-in-progress project vehicles. Includes trophy awards, sponsor draws, hovercraft and drift, trike displays, food, music and great fun. Free admission to spectators.
