Owners of disruptive pets should show consideration

-

To our neighbours with disruptive pets:

My husband and I have made a lot of great friends with our neighbours over the years but find it extremely difficult dealing with some unruly pets. Our neighbours seem to be very sensible and responsible but when it comes to dogs, some turn very irresponsible.

Your pets are left outside to entertain themselves while you enjoy your indoor living deaf to their continuous annoying bark.

We don’t own an animal and after a hard day at our indoor jobs, we want to relax outdoors during the short summer months. We can’t enjoy our backyard because we take on the task of listening to your howling dog all hours.

We want to continue to be your kind, supportive and fun neighbours but are put in a miserable situation. We don’t feel it should be up to us to have to speak with you about your disruptive pet as it is unnerving and will only create ill feelings. We want enduring harmonious relations with you. It should be common sense that you would want the same for us.

It is not your pet’s fault that you don’t give them the same devotion they give you. If there is something we can do to help this frustrating situation, please feel free to speak with us because, after all, it’s your pet, not ours. Let’s be considerate of each other as life is tough enough.

All we are asking is that you please pay attention to your pets or give them to someone who will provide them the love and commitment they deserve.

Thank you!
