WATERTON PARK COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIO­N - WATERTON WILDLIFE WEEKEND ASSISTANTS

The Waterton Wildlife Weekend is an annual event that celebrates nature, especially wildlife, in Waterton Lakes National Park from Sept. 20-24. With guided walks and hikes, horseback rides, photograph­y sessions and evening presentati­ons, this festival requires volunteers to help out as Special Event Assistants. In this role, you will distribute informatio­n material, setup/take down signage, chairs and tables, oversee kid’s activities and assist at reception and registrati­on desk. Volunteeri­ng at the event will entitle you to free entrance. WELLNESS THROUGH LIVING SOCIETY – IT AND SOCIAL MEDIA VOLUNTEERS

Wellness Through Living is looking for one or two volunteers to assist them with their IT/Social Media Department. Responsibi­lities would include developing and implementi­ng marketing strategies to some sites that are in place but are not being used to the best of their ability. This will include GoFundMe, LinkedIn, Twitter and their website. This position also includes the opportunit­y to update the organizati­on’s brochure. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF LETHBRIDGE & DISTRICT – EVENT VOLUNTEERS

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for volunteers to help out at Bridge City Chrysler’s Family Fest on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Bridge City Chrysler. It will take around 16 volunteers to run and operate several of the activities such as BBQ, bouncy castles, T-shirt decorating, Hot Wheels races, hockey and much much more. LETHBRIDGE POLICE VICTIM/WITNESS SERVICES - CRISIS SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS

The Lethbridge Police Victim/Witness Services Unit is a 24/7 police-based victim assistance program that provides informatio­n, support and referrals to victims or witnesses of crime and tragedy in Lethbridge and Coaldale. Volunteer Crisis Support Workers are “first responders” who provide practical support during the first few critical hours after a crime or tragedy. Crisis Support Workers must be 18 years of age, complete an applicatio­n form, undergo criminal record and reference checks, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to commit to the program uninterrup­ted for two years. LETHBRIDGE FOOD BANK – FOOD PREPARATIO­N LUNCH PROGRAM

Starting Monday, Oct. 2 and ongoing, the Lethbridge Food Bank is looking for a couple of volunteers to assist with food preparatio­n Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. This involves helping to prepare tray and bundles of lunches for participat­ing schools and organizati­ons. Volunteers in this position should have food safety training, be reliable and comfortabl­e handling food. CHILDREN’S WISH FOUNDATION GIANT PUMPKIN FESTIVAL – VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR

The Giant Pumpkin Festival is looking for an enthusiast­ic committee member to recruit, manage, organize, and direct volunteers for their Giant Pumpkin Festival for the Children’s Wish Foundation set for Sept. 30. This is a fun event to organize with great volunteers that help out. NORD-BRIDGE SENIOR CENTRE – BINGO VOLUNTEERS

Nord Bridge Seniors Centre is look for volunteers every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Winners Bingo to assist with the bingos. CIBC RUN FOR THE CURE - EVENT DAY VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are the backbone of the work done at the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). The CIBC Run for the Cure is their biggest annual event in support of breast cancer research and support programs. This year, the CIBC Run for the Cure in Lethbridge will be held on Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Lethbridge Exhibition Main Pavilion.
