Nov. 7. The club will be starting “Introducti­on to Bridge” classes for those real beginners who have never played bridge, or maybe even cards. This will be a series of six classes beginning

• A new speaker series called Take Two will focus on leading research being done by University of Lethbridge faculty members. Claudia Malacrida, associate vice-president research, will introduce the series at its first session Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the Markin Hall Atrium. As a member of Canada’s Fundamenta­l Science Review panel, Malacrida will discuss the panel’s finding that the research system is underfed and overworked. Subsequent sessions to be held in the months ahead will feature two researcher­s who approach similar topics from different perspectiv­es. Everyone is welcome to attend.
