Creepy Hollow hosts Pumpkin Fest

Want to get in the “spirit” of the Halloween season?

The second annual Pumpkin Fest taking place today at the Creepy Hollow Haunted Mansion might be just the ticket.

Located at Warner, about a 35-minute drive south of Lethbridge, Creepy Hollow is offering a full day of spooky delights for visitors of all ages, who are encouraged to come in costume and have a monsters’ ball.

The fun includes a no-hands donut-eating contest at 1 p.m. (for the early bats), followed by a pumpkin-carving competitio­n at 3 p.m. At 4 p.m., there will be a Halloween Feast prepared by each participan­t and featuring foods with a monstrousl­y fun twist.

Jack-o-lantern judging begins at 5 p.m., with trick-ortreating to follow at 5:30 p.m., taking participan­ts from Monster Hall through the Haunted Mansion to Witch Hazel’s house and other Creepy Hollow locations.

Cost is $15 for those aged 12 and older, $10 for ages five to 11, $5 for ages three and four. and free for two and under (includes regular gate admission).

Creepy Hollow is open daily, with hours Sunday to Thursday from 4-9 p.m., and Friday to Saturday 2-6 p.m. (static tour) and 6-10 p.m. (Fright Night).

To get to Creepy Hollow from Lethbridge, head south on Highway 4; it will be on the right, shortly after the “Warner 8 KM” sign. Look for the large “Creepy Hollow” sign on the hill.
