Three face drug charges

Three women have been charged with drug-related offences following a traffic stop on the Blood Reserve Monday.

Police seized eight grams of methamphet­amine, two grams for fentanyl powder, 41 fentanyl tablets (Oxy 80), one syringe possibly containing meth, four cellphones and $620 in cash. The drugs have an estimated street value of $4,460 on the Blood Reserve.

Kasey Day Chief, 34, has been charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of traffickin­g and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime. She was also arrested on outstandin­g warrants for fraud under $5,000 and failing to attend court.

She has been remanded to appear in Lethbridge provincial court Nov. 20.

Charnelle Day Chief, 27, has been charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of traffickin­g and one count each of drug traffickin­g and possession of the proceeds of crime. She was also arrested on outstandin­g warrants for various offences including theft under $5,000, obstructio­n, failing to attend court, public intoxicati­on and mischief.

She was remanded to appear in court last Thursday.

Tamara Crow Chief, 26, has been charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of traffickin­g, and one count each of drug possession and possession of the proceeds of crime. She was also arrested on warrants for various offences including theft under $5,000, obstructio­n, failing to attend court, public intoxicati­on and identity fraud.

She also appeared in court Thursday.
