• The annual Coalhurst Turkey Bingo will be held Nov. 17 at the Coalhurst Community Centre. This fun family event supports both the Coalhurst Elementary School and Coalhurst High School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., bingo starts at 7p.m. A concession will be available, bake table and lots of great bingo prizes including frozen turkeys. • Stirling Christmas Craft Sale will take place Nov. 17 from 4-8 p.m. and Nov. 18 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Stirling Lions Community Centre, 409 2 St. Featuring homemade crafts, clothing and food items. Sponsored by Stirling Historical Society. • The 5th annual Christmas at Casa will take place Nov. 17, 5-9 p.m. and Nov. 18, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 230 8 St. S. as part of the Bright Lights Festival downtown. Featuring works by more than 100 local artists. Free admission. • Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club invites the public to play shuffleboa­rd, mixed darts and billiards (pool) Fridays, 7 p.m., 517 5 Ave. S. • TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a non-profit organizati­on which provides support to people wanting to lose weight, meets regularly in Lethbridge and area. Trigeminal neuralgia is a neuropathi­c disorder characteri­zed by episodes of intense pain in the face, originatin­g from the trigeminal nerve. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders. • A Food Bank Swim will be offered Nov. 18 at Stan Siwik, Fritz Sick and Nicholas Sheran Pools. Bring along a nonperisha­ble food item and/or a financial donation to support local food banks and receive free pool admission. Collection bins will be on site at each pool until Nov. 18. • The Annual Shaughness­y Dinner and Auction Night will be held Nov. 18 at the Shaughness­y Community Centre. Live and Fish Bowl Auction at 7 p.m. • Lethbridge Lightning hockey team will host Emergency Services Appreciati­on Night, paying tribute to veterans and emergency service providers, in the team’s Nov. 18 senior men’s “AA” hockey game against the visiting Kainai Braves at Nicholas Sheran Arena, starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free for all military members and veterans as well as local police officers (Lethbridge Police, RCMP, Sherriffs, Canada Border Services officers), and fire and emergency medical services personnel. • West Wind Gymnastics Club offers drop-in fun on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. It’s a great opportunit­y to practise your gymnastic skills in a friendly, supervised environmen­t. Historian Stephanie Laine Hamilton will explore Picariello, his Alberta Hotel, and his Lethbridge connection­s to Fritz Sick and his brewery.
